Lost one today

I lost my cleaner shrimp today he was fine yesterday all over the place like usual and eating like a pig and today he was behind a rock hiding like he never does and looked at the tank a little bit ago and saw him on the bottom of the tank. He was one of my favorites b/c he had a lot of personality. I checked all all my levels and everything is normal. Dont understand what happened.

I remember the first time I had a cleaner molt I thought it had died.

That was my first thought but i looked all over my tank and i can see all in my tank and i cant find him so either he is a really good at hiding or dead hopefully he is good at hiding.

when they molt dont they hide like inside/under rocks where it would be virtually impossible to see them?

yes when they molt they become "invisable" for a day or 2. Hope he is fine...

These guys are pretty hardy once they are established in your aquarium. I would bet 5 baht its a molt.
