Lyretail Anthias

They are considered moderate.

They usually require good water quality and multiply daily feedings. Once established they are fairly hardy, but getting healthy speciments and acclimating can be challenging.

Definatly read up on them before purchasing. Here is a good place to start:

No doubt. They're pretty easy to keep in my experiences. I've never heard of anyone having any real issues with them thriving. They are used to bright lights and have hearty appetites.

Have one and love it. The female particularly is stunning beautiful. Now eats anytime I get close to the tank.

I agree, they are one of the easier Anthias, you will need to feed at least once a day to keep them fat and happy.

I sold some to someone here.

I had the orange which were colorful but the male was stunning.

Usually you can find a good deal on the females but the male cost much more.

If you are going to have lyretails IMHO you must have a male.

I would put that super male up against ANY wrasse as far as range of color, depth of color etc.

They were very easy to keep.

Live aquaria will sometimes run sales on the male.
