Does anyone know what these eat? I have fed my tank both flakes and pellets, i have fed cyclops, cyclopeez, rotifers, reef plankton, phyto plankton...running out of ideas here.

I feed mine mysis, arcti-pods, and flying fish roe (the egg they put on sushi, no dye.) it goes crazy for that stuff but ignores pellet

+1.

I had a lyretail that wouldn't eat when I first got him. He wen't crazy when I added live brine shrimp for my triggers. Funny thing is, after he started eating the live brine shrimp in my system, he would pretty much eat anything I threw in the tank. Just a heads up. They normally need multiple feedings per day. I had my autofeeder feed pellets twice while I was at work, and I fed the tank frozen mysis when I got home from work.

Best of luck!!!

Good point on the live brine. They feed on zooplankton in the wild so tiny moving creatures in the water triggers their feeding response. On that note, if you normally turn off all your flow while feeding, you should try just leaving one powerhead on when you transition to feeding frozen. I think the little guys enjoy chasing their food down

Well i put frozen brine which i had thawed in right after i posted this and she went crazy. Eating everything in sight. Thanks for the replies.

I had the same problem when I bought a male/female pair a few months ago. I tried everything under the sun and could not get them to eat. Sadly, I lost the female. However the next day the male started eating. Now he is a complete pig. Glad to hear that yours is eating and doing alright.

Yea I had 1 cube of frozen shrimp left; i hadn't been feeding this stuff and had really kind of forgot about it. Well i found it and decided to put it in and bam, he was all over the place eating everything. I think its funny watching this because i put something else in there with the shrimp and he gobbles it up but then spits it out when he realizes its not the shrimp. Makes me laugh for some reason. Reminds me of my children who are a 6 and 8.
