I need some advice on a fish that I can get for my 28 gallon nanocube, that will eat caulerpa. I currently have a couple of chromis, a clownfish, a yellow goby, and the dreaded six line wrasse ( which I need to ge rid of). i don't know where the caulerpa came from, it just showed up one day. It's just getting a little out of hand.

I think it'd be hard to find a suitable fish for a 28 gallon that will also eat the algae. Most of the fish you find will be some sort of tang or rabbit fish, and they need a lot of room to swim. You could look in to getting a small one and get rid of it immediately after the algae is gone.

My Scopas tang eats it, but not suitable for a tank that small. I take some calupera from my fuge every once in awhile and throw it in the tank. He eats it down like spaghetti.

I think they tend eat hair algae, but if someone else with more knowledge on this chimes in, I could be wrong.

Why get rid of it completely? Why not just trim it manually when it begins to get out of control?
