Macro in display tank.

I don't use a sump or fuge but thinking I want to incorporate some Macros in my display tank. Two reason's first being asthetics, second nutrient export. I tend to like the branching ones that look like little trees or tufts of grass which are less invasive versus creeping ones that go everywhere.

Examples of some that seem appealing are Halimedia, Pink galaxies and Rhodelphyta. I've also read about some going sexual and ruining DT so I want to stay away from that.

What are some opinions, what are the best choices?

I asked about this not long ago and was advised against it. Rit has some red macro growing in his displays at Atlanta aquarium. Maybe stop by and pay him a visit.

Im no expert on all the varieties...but for most fish this is food.
The only exception (that I know of) on your list is Halimeda.
I have had it in a reef setting before and it was fine. Really added a nice dimension to the tank and no one ate it.
