Mag 18 Impeller question

I got a little sand in my Mag 18 and it siezed up, I took it apart cleaned it all out and when I plugged it in....nothing. Does this mean the whole pump is shot or do I just need a new impeller shaft?

Having had these in my past.....I'm willing to bet it burnt the motor. Take the impeller out, plug the motor in and then try to put the impeller back in. If the magnetism pulls the impeller back but it still doesn't spin, it's the impeller. Another thing....the impeller on these are extremely touchy about being on center or they won't spin.
