I was making my own Mag using the BRS Magnesium Sulfate & Magnesium Chloride to make 1 gallon solutions according to the recipe. I still have a gallon of Sulfate but no Chloride, can I use magnesium sulfate on its own to any benefit? since I have some left....

I switched to the Aquavitro Ions for mag for now..anyone use it for any length of time?

You can soak your feet in mag sulfate (epsom salts). I use magnesium sulfate with FW fish if they get bloat. It is a laxative.

 I knew it was epsoms salt but wasnt sure if it had any ability to raise mag in a reef tank without the chloride. At least I can soak my feet for the next year or so....

yes it will raise yur mag levels
I use it only but I also do regular large water changes which helps keep the sulfate levels in check
