I see many available on Amazon. Anyone have suggestions for best one to get that won’t break the bank? I use All For Reef powdered concentrate so will use for that and also do they work for calcium/magnesium testing so you don’t have to simultaneously have to try to keep agitating sample while trying to just drip in reagent a drip at a time? I hate doing those tests - they really test my coordination 😂

Thanks and Merry Christmas!🎄🎁

I do have one I recommend for water tests- the AutoAqua smart stir. Use it weekly for titration tests. I chose it over a generic stir plate because of the frustration of centering the small test vials.

With that said… it’s not going to work for mixing up your concentrate. A traditional lab stir plate will probably be best suited to that task. Maybe you’ll want both?

Unfortunately I don’t have a personal suggestion on a lab stir plate, but I did review the smart stir: https://atlantareefclub.org/boards/index.php?threads/autoaqua-smart-stir-ss-100.1185346/

I didn’t know this existed! Thank you!! I will definitely look into it. I could live without the magnetic stirrer for the All For Reef. It does eventually dissolve and if I plan ahead I have time to let that happen
