So my tank is down in Florida with my wife. She just texted me and told me that one of my powerheads fell and blew sand over all my corals. She is dusting the sand down now. Are all my corals going to be ok? She said some got covered. I told her to put some fresh carbon to battle the corals stress. Any input would help as I can't get down there till Saturday. Aggghhhh.

you will be fine. do not over react. carbon isnt going to do anything (good or bad) but do NOT freak out and start doing a bunch of things at once. other then a cloudy tank, and some annoyed coral you will be fine unless you make it worst

They will more than likely just be pissed off. The only issue I see is a nitrate spike due to your sand being blown around. How long were the covered up? I'd say the powerhead might need cleaned out.

yea id be more worried about the power head then anything else. unless that sand bed is old and deep i wouldnt even think a nitrate spike is likely

I take a powerhead and blow sand bed and rocks several times a year. Good to have a "storm" every now and then. Feeds the corals too.
