Two days ago I noticed that my starfish was being nipped at in several places. I also noticed only one Mandarin was coming out. My coral banded shrimp was not to be seen, but I allowed that to be his normal hiding for days. Last night I watched my Square pink Anthias male just start to chase everyting in site. Leaving his territory at the top left side and darting after everyting. He and my Naso are together all the time if he leaves his territory it is with the Naso in lead. The Naso is the only fish he has not turned on. I turned the lights out early to let everyone settle down (fish tank time out). He is a tad better so far this morning but the lights arn't on. Should I get a hang-on container to jail him for a few days. Note: he came with his haram and all three of them have eventually dissapeared.
TANK MATES: Royal Gamma, two clowns ( who are hiding under my toadstool leather) 2 or now 1 Mandarin, 1 starfish, 6 line wrasse, pink bristle worms, brittle stars , emerald and pom pom crab. AND more pods than they can eat in a month and growing. OOPS, he is fed two to three times a day.
I also have another fish but I forgot his name. Smoothie told me he was trouble several months ago. He has a yellow head, body is lavender, small 1 1/4 " real sand digger, has a tunnel under every rock possible.
Jail or not Jail? Bubba:sad::confused2:

I don't even remember what that fish is.
What kind of starfish is it? I would lean more towards that coral banded shrimp picking at the star.

coral banded shrimp is gone too! all of these fish are older and have been in the same tank for a long time. Sand sifter star. Have been all over the net and I can not see a fish like this little tunnel digger. He is the opposit of all I see. Yellow head, lavender body, black dot on top fin. Bubba

The sand sifting star is probably dying. That's why it's getting picked at.
The fish- are you talking about that damsel?

still looking on the net and the damsel is the closest think to this little digger. Ofcourse, every fish doesn't look exactly like the one pictured?
Bubba

Just found it...Talbot's Damselfish facts say it becomes territorial with age and he is aged....is it possible that he is the rogue stirring up the Peaceful Anthias? You want him? Bubba

No I don't, but exotic will take him back. Thank you though.
I am sure he is stirring it up with everything in there
