Mangrove question

If using as a nitrate exporter what's best rootless bean pods or plant's with a little root , or does it not matter ? Thanks for looking

It's my understanding that you would need a small forest of Mangroves to make an impact on your tanks nutrient levels. I have 8 right now with quite a few leaves . For whatever reason my magnesium drops about 100 to 125 ppm a week. I can't figure out any other reason for the higher consumption than the mangroves.

very good read, plan on making my hydroponics tray a mangrove/mixed reef.
