I want to build a manifold, and I am thinking through the number of outlets to use. If I ever wanted to run a calcium reactor, would I want it plumbed to the manifold or to a dedicated pump?

Mine is on a dedicated pump right now and I'm going to move it to a manifold just because I want to reduce the number of power cords that I have to manage.

Plump it to a manifold since they don't need that much flow for the cal reactor. Text me for some pics 404-421-4670

I had mine plumbed through a manifold and couldn't keep the effluent drip rate steady. It was a major pain and my corals suffered.

Did you switch to a dedicated pump and have better results?

Yes, I use a Cole-Parmer Masterflex pump to pull water through the reactor. There is a big thread on reef central if you're interested in learning more about it.
