hi everyone,
so i got this maroon clown yesterday and he ate a little bit and swimming around the tank great. this morning when i fed he did not eat, but still very active. just wondering why he did not eat, maybe still acclimating? thanks mike:shades:

Maybe. If it was right after the lights came on, maybe he was still waking up. I know I feel that way in the mornings ;-)

(Seriously though, he may be used to eating at a particular time of day?)

If I were to kidnap you, stuff you in the trunk of a car, and drop you in a house across town with a couple of other strangers in it, how much would you feel like eating breakfast the next day?? lol...

Give it a day or two. It'll come around.

What kind of breakfast? I mean, if you pour me a bowl of cereal I'll probably scowl at you and demand my phone call, but if you're making me omelets, bacon, and mimosas, we could talk....

My maroon clown would not eat off the surface once she hosted an area. She will only eat what came floating down to her most of the time. Plus what everyone else said is probably true for this case (-=

Basted eggs, whole wheat toast, bone in ham and homemade hash downs? I will be right over?

now he is hanging out on one end of the tank and stays at the top a lot but he has started to eat. he acts like he is hosting this part of the tank. when the lights go off he does go to the bottom of the tank and when the lights come back on he goes back to the same area at the top of the tank. is this usual? thanks mike

My maroon spends his day swimming around doing his thing.... er, her thing... and then at night goes back to her favorite coral to sleep. So sounds kinda normal.
