Events should be planned out months in advance, drama would not affect that.

Summer has historically been slow for club meetings. There have been summers with zero meetings so 2019 has been better than some years!

FWIW- cookouts have been an easy to do summer get together in the past, sometimes at sponsor stores.

With the month half over, it's a little late though.

Lots of distractions during summers, especially for those with kids. Mine are grown
