BoD meeting minutes 1/29/13
Location: Steve Shindell's office complex
Time: 6:17pm
Attendees: Gary(gnashty)- ARC President, Seth(Seth the wine guy)- ARC Vice President, Stacy(Stacy22)- ARC Treasurer, Dylan(Ripped Tide)- ARC secretary, Bill(ichthyoid)- BoD, Giuliano(GiulianoM)- ARC Admin, Rich(rdnelson99)- ARC Moderator, Rick(Lagunareef)- ARC Member coordinator.

A. Frag Swap:
1. Venue selection: There was discussion related to a location that can accommodate the dates that will suit the members, speaker, and sponsors that will be joining us for this event. After much time and effort spent, the BoD has decided upon the location. Official announcements, containing all the details will follow...
2. Special speaker: Steve Tyree has been invited to speak to our club about shipping corals and the proper care when doing so.
3. Limited Edition Frag giveaway: This year, there will be a limited amount of frags given away. Frags will be provided by Steve Tyree.
4. Budget: Gary proposed the total budget for the event. The BoD approved the budget for the '13 ARC Frag Swap.
B. Membership coordinator:
We would like to welcome Rick(Lagunareef) as the new ARC Membership Coordinator. He is currently in training and once finished, those ARC cards will be showing up in your mailboxes. Thanks for stepping up, Rick!
C. ReefRunner
Seth motioned a vote to extend ReefRunner's 1month ban to a Permaban, Gary seconded the motion.
The BoD voted in favor (4-1) of the ban. ReefRunner is permanently banned from the Atlanta Reef Club. Any banned member is welcome to appeal their ban to the Board of Directors at a Board of Directors' meeting. If a banned member wishes to appeal their ban, please notify the BoD that you plan to attend a BoD meeting.
