I was pressure washing my live rock today and noticed what looked like two decent sized tube worms. First thing I tried to do was break them off with my finger. Well some of the stuff came off around the "worm tube" Come to find out it looks like it's a rivet shank or a small diameter piece of rod. I broke it off flush with the rock but it had rust around it. Should I not even use this piece of live rock, or break the rock around the metal and then use it. What is ARC's opinion?

You could always take a cold chisel and try to break that rock in two where the metal is... you might be able to get it out. If not, you could at least have to discard a smaller piece of rock. Chances are it was just just metal debris that found its way to the bottom of the ocean and got calcified over.
