ok so i just cannot find a place where this thing is happy. i assume its a slow grower but i love it and really want it to do well in my tank. for any body that keeps this coral, where did it do the best for you (flow, light, etc..)

Mine grows like a weed. Spreads onto the rock pretty quickly.

where do you keep yours in your tank

I keep it everywhere. I use t5 as well. Once it encrust I just pull up the discs and it spread. I place it on a flat piece of base rock, it'll cover the rock faster than coraline does. I have two discs I use as seeds. It covers an 5x5 with one month. But the spread is sparse. Doesn't fill in for another month

2x 250w MH on a 7' tank, it is in the middle of the tank on the bottom, its not getting a lot of light.

3x120w LEDs... I keep it about 5" off the sand bed in medium flow. Great color and it fully encrusted my plug, including the bottom where it gets no to very little light.

Dine make sure it's not growing on itself. When I first got mine it grew around the disc completely and was always angry. Seemed like it was trying to kill itself. Had to cut it in half before it became happy

Are you trying to grow it out and frag or grow onto ur rock?

I want it to take over the rock. It's on a plug right now and was just growing up. Not onto the Rock I want it to attach to

Can you half it down the base? If you can do it. And glue it plush against the rock. Don't let there be any gap between the plug and rock. It'll strt to encrust onto the rock

This stuff loves being cut. That's when it takes off onto other things. I couldn't understand why mine wouldn't spread. I then cut off a piece to frag it and BAM! It was like kudzu where the fresh cut was.
