MH Bulb Question?

I have a 250W MH pendant that the bulb recently started to discolor in the center bottom of the bulb. Seems like the light spectrum has changed some also. I take it the bulb is going bad? Thanks for the help in advance!

I'm assuming this is a single ended lamp... ???

If the discoloration is in the inner envelope, then that's usually normal. The inner envelope can appear nearly black and the lamp can still work perfectly fine.

How old is the lamp, and what leads you to believe the spectrum is off?
