Mh help!!!

A little more info is needed for recommendation . Current setup like frantz said if replacing , iwasaki and ushio are my favs. I currently run 175watt iwasaki 15k. If they are 250watt or higher people tend to like radiums. Also is/are they single ended or double ended?

mogul base(screw in type ) or DE double ended ( filament ends) I am running 20k 25w radiums. 20k is bluer bulb
It's a 2 ended bulb.... Where do I find wattage and everything at? I also have 2 24 inch t5s one blue one purple for added color. I'm a noob when it comes to mh. And I'm replacing the bulb, corals are mostly zoas, acans, chalices, some sps, frogspawn, gbta, and favias.

look on the bulb itself or under / on the side of the fixture. there should be a nameplate or sticker stating voltage and watts. however do not touch the metal halide bulb itself or it could blow the bulb. use a soft cloth or rag to pull out the bulb and put it back in if you do not see the info on the fixture itself.

14k or 20k , 20k is blue . i think 14k maybe bluer in color. I run only 20k radiums. maybe some else on this site will let you know how the 14k bulbs are?
Edit: Anyone out there use 14k or 10k ?? what color do they produce?? im thinking really blue??

sort of.
when you first get into it it can be a little confusing.
Double ended lamps are = HQI
Single ended lamps are = mogul
The higher the K rating is the bluer a lamp appears to the human eye.
a 6,500K lamp will look yellow while a 20k lamp will look bluer
As far as HQI lamps go ... there aren't many good 20k lamps out there.
I ran a fixture similar to yours for a while and REALLY liked the Pheonix 14k. I tried several brands over the years but that one was the one I liked
It is a nice balance of white and blue (not yellow to me at all).Also check youtube / google images for lamp colors

Most DE bulbs are HQI but there are SE bulbs that are HQI as well.(Radiums)
As far as color goes for each bulb one must consider the ballast you are using as well. The bulb may have a different color intensity on your ballast than it does on a different ballast.
Ok I am going to look at the bulb and balast tonight and put the info up. So everyone agrees that the Phoenix 14k is the best? I like the way it looks now, but I beleve the bulb is unmarked. So I have no way of telling. But I'll check it out tonight to be for sure. The only reason I want a new bulb is because my sps are dying along with my chalices. Any suggestions on that? I am dosing with some stuff I don't remember the name. Every lps in the tank is doing fine, it's just my sps and chalices that are under the weather. What causes this? What should I test for?
Ok, my bulb is a 150 watt ( small I know) but I went to my lfs and told him what was going on, he handed me a radium 14k bulb and said try this, so I put it in and it was too white for my likings so I am going to replace my t5s with actinic and purple, any suggestions on which bulb brand to go with? I have the light I need I just want the color pop.
