Mini brittle star population explosion

So I was dipping some coral about 6 months ago and mini brittle star came off, and I thought hmmm I hear those are good lets save it and add it to the refugium. Fast forward and I have MONSTEROUS amount of mini brittle stars in my tank. I can't figure out if these guys are bothering my zoas or not but they are all around and in them. My zoas have not been growing great lately and I am starting to wonder. Does anyone else have huge numbers and suspect they are bothering things? If I were to get some natural control would you recommend a wrasse, a harlequin shrimp, or a dragonet? Here is a picture of my vacuum tube during a normal water change.

in my experience they don’t harm anything, although you have a large population

if they bother you, you can get a harlequin shrimp
