Has anyone had experience adding a different anthias species to your established lyretail athias? I have 1 male and 2 female lyretail anthias and was thinking of adding either dispar or bartlett anthias.

I have both Lyretails and Bartletts in the same aquarium. Anthias are always bickering with each other but nothing to hurt themselves.

Did you add them both at the same time? i'm concerned b/c my lyretails are established. Also, how many of each species do you have? Thanks

I'd love to hear from Simon. I'd also like to know how large your aquarium is and how much flow your working with.

Tank is 340 Gallon, total system is approx 1400.
Flow is about 45,000 gallons an hour in the show tank. Yes 11 Tunzes and a monster return.
I have both Lyretails and Bartlett's. About 30 Barletts and 5 Lyretails. I added the fish in groups of 5-10 at a time. Im planning on added another 5 Lyretails and 10 Bartlett's shortly. I don't expect any more aggression than I already have. The Bartlett's always squabble with each other it's in their nature. They never actually hurt each other though.

So your questions are spot on. Seth was right Size matters and the flow question is perfect. The more flow the better for these guys.

Thanks for the reply, Simon.
You're tank sounds like a sight to see! Anthias are my favorite fish - I love the schooling/social behavior and movement. I'll have to wait until I upgrade from my 90 to add more, but can't help thinking about the next build lol. I have two Mp40s running my 90 and my lyretails love them. I'll never do another tank without a lot of flow.
