Looking for inputs on which pump to buy to mix up salt in a 32 gallon Brute garbage can. What brand and model would you recommend? I don't need anything to overdrive the "mixing"; just something to get it mixed up prior to adding the water to my aquariums.

I use an old Hagen 802 in my 40g Brute and it does just fine. For faster mixing and pumping out, I use a Mag 7. I also use a Hagen 802 in my RO/DI barrel to keep it circulating. Inexpensive but have worked for years!

Thanks for yiur two inputs. I really never thought about it until I read both of your replies. I have a used Mag 7 in a drawer that I purchased about a year in a half ago for that "just in case I need it" scenario. I really never thought about it because I just didn't think of the Mag 7 for just mixing up salt. I had been mixing smaller amounts of water with a cheap pump. Time to upgrade water production .

Thanks for your inputs. Now I don't need to purchase a pump after all.

I'm using a mj1200 but I want something faster. It does seem to work well though.

I use two sicce powerheads and a koralia, all leftover powerheads from my previous build.
