Mixing salt water

How long do you let the salt mix before you measure your salinity?

Each brand is different. I usually just wait until the water is clear.

I wait till its fairly clear but once Im close to the number i want I wait 20-30 minutes in between

OK cool. I use Tropic Marin Pro. It's just weird because I put the appropriate amount of salt for the amount of water (like I normally do) and the salinity isn't even close. I did test the refractometer and it is correct.

Sounds like you may need to mix a little longer? If you are waiting 5-10 minutes after you add salt, I would give it more time. My saltwater usually mixes overnight, but if I am in a rush I give it at least an hour
