Mixing water in a glass tank.....algae?

I'm switching my saltwater mix set up from a plastic Brute to a new 40 gallon breeder. The Brute is not food grade and I am trying to make sure I don't have a leaching issue.

Would algae be an issue with no livestock in it? I use a return pump to mix with and it runs for 18 hours per day. The tank would always have water in it.

Thanks guys, I'll do that. I'm not sure if it is or isn't Barry. I've been having some water quality issues and I want to make certain that I have covered all the bases. The Petco deal was on so it was an impulse buy.

Maybe commercial grade but I think the gray ones are food safe and green ones have potential to leach.
