moding nano cube back compartments

i just got a new 12g aquapod for my birthday :yay: and am setting it up with LR now from Sal :thanks:. it has 4 compartments in the back and came with a big sponge, a bag of carbon, 2 bags of the ceramic pieces, and bioballs.
but what should i put back there for the best filtration... any of the above or scrap it all and put in LR rubble and chaeto?
has anyone moded it for a small fuge and added a light for the chaeto? how?

im gonna be a real :noob: and ask if i just pour in the carbon and purigen or should i put it in those filter bags. will it eventually just dissolve and disappear?
and what is GFO?

Sorry for the reply here but I can't respond to PM's right now(system is down for me) I can't recommend one way are the other chaeto for the back part of the nano because I have never owned one and don't know how they are set up. I can bring the chaeto one way or the other, just give me an address so I can gps it. Will most likely be in the morning, this friday.

well i would like to put chaeto in the back but lighting it is the main issue. i have seen someone try a small submersible light but i dunno if it really works that well.

What kind of corals do you plan on keeping?

i have a thrown together 10g tank. the all-in-one aquapod looks really nice compared to what i have now. its pretty full of LPS and softies. i got another tank cause im in college and can just move the coral back and forth for the next few years instead of tearing down the whole system (except for summer.. i know.. im insane...)
i looked for something like GFO on foster and smith but could you give me a link?
my plan so far is
chamber 1- sponge
chamber 2- purigen
chamber 3- some lr rubble and maybe chaeto
chamber 4- pump and heater
ive read that some people have lr back there with no extra light cause worms and stuff dont need it but im assuming the chaeto or micro algae would not survive.
any suggestions?
