Following is a link to a store I buy PC case accessories from and I was looking at running these on an old PC power supply.

These are LED not lasers. They look super bright and the two end LED's are angled 45 degrees so youcan cover a lot of tank for not much dough.

Thoughts?

I'm using car LED strip lights similer to this one. Got it for about $10 on fleabay.

I used the lazers in the op's link for a few years. They worked well but some of the led's died after a few months and a few more just died over time... Even still, they looked great and I loved the look. I used an old 12v brick as the power source and just wired them in series.

hey Jin, that seems like a similar application to wiring up Cold Cathodes.. want to help me out with that?? I've got some cold cathodes, some of those LED moonlights from Drs.F&S (which work great) and I think I might want to try the lazer ones too
