Moonlights: Blue, White, or Other?

So I picked up 4 12v LED strips from eBay, 2 white, 2 blue, 12", 15 surface mount LEDs each. Right now I've got one blue or white strip running on either side of the tank. I love the way the colors pop on the blue side (all my euphylia over there including my new pink Aussie hammer), but I love the natural look on the white side (Sun Coral on the white side is having heavy influence, no words to describe how amazing it looks).

I've thought about a few different setups:

1. All White

2. All Blue

3. Both Blue and White (one plug)

4. White, and blues on an R2 moonlight controller (most expensive option, but might provide most gratification).

With all setups, the LEDs would be on timers or controllers to turn off around 2am or so. I usually get home around 10:30pm, about an hour after my actinics turn off, and it's depressing to look over to a dark tank, especially since I'm usually up til 1-2am.

Just curious what you're running, and any reason?

Hehe, been busy with school and stuff and slacked off on my attempts to get the sun coral open during the daytime have not been as successful as I'd hoped.

I'm gonna leave the lights on with the current color setup for a few days, and then switch it and see if I like the change.

I use blues and like the night POP the corals have. I 1 powersupply and a timer 2 hours before and 2 after the main lights.

So can you people actually see in the tank with the blue LEDs? With the 15-LED strips I'm using, the white is plenty bright, and I may even need to tape off a few LEDs, but the blue doesn't let me see</em> anything.

I think I'm going to run both blues and whites. The whites will be on from 10-11 so I can enjoy a natural look, then both on from 11-12, then blues from 12-1. I'm going to hold off on the R2 moonlights for now and go with the LED strips.

If anyone is interested where I got them from, send me a PM, took about 3 weeks to get here, but worth the savings for something that's not vital, IMO. Total cost of the 4 strips was $7 and change, and I had a power source sitting around.
