mp40w and mp10w

Hi all reefers,
I have a quick question I like to have opinion on.
I'm currently run mp40w in my 48"x18"x18x tank and I also have a mp10w that I was thinking of put it on other side of the tank. Do you think it a good ideas to have two different models run on both sides? If it OK, I like to know which unit should I set as master and which is as slave. Thanks in advance

I had a 40 paired with a 10 and it worked fine. I've since added another 10. If the 10 is the master the 40 will only run as high as the 10's maximum percentage. If that makes sense.
