Need some advice opinions on where to place my mp40 In my marineland 60 cube the overflow is in middle of the tank. With the return coming out to the right looking straight at the tank. Thanks in advance!

Totally depends on your rock-scape and the layout of your room around the tank.

I had basically a pyramid of rock and ran my MP40 on the back right wall with a Koralia K3 on the back left wall.

Hmm my rock scape is pretty much a pyramid it just doesnt go very high in the tank about halfway it is all in the middle of the tank. I have it on the left side in the middle not the best pic flash washed everything out but you get the idea

From everything I have read either one Mp40 or two Mp10's are perfect in a cube. A Mp40 has to be turned down to about 45% but I figured when I upgrade to a bigger tank I will be halfway there pump wise with a mp40. The placement is the biggest discussion alot of opinions out there lol

left side in the middle is perfect. And the MP40 is perfect for a 60 cube. Just dial it down. IMHO it's better to have a 40 dialed down than a 10 cranked up 100%.

Personally, I'd put it on the back glass, on the left or right side of the overflow, about 3-4 inches or so below the water surface. Less noticeable that way, and it blends into the black of the back glass. That is where my MP40 is placed in my 100 gallon cube with the same center type overflow.

I think that is what I am going to do Acro that way all the cords can be hidden easier. I kinda figured a cube is a cube so wherever it is put it will have about the same result.
