just bought this skimmer its brand new never been used but came with no plumbing instructions. anybody know of a how to video on plumbing this thing?or can give me some tips.never owned one like this, its a monster and looks very intimidating.

It's good if the skimmer can sit above the water line of sump. Supply water to the box and it will drain out of the 1.5 or 2 in pie on the side. you adjusrt the height of the water in skimmer with the valve on drain pipe. Your large external pump makes a loop between the beckets and the box.

I dont know how to add pictures on here do you have an email I can send you pictures of mine Jamescook? mine looks just like this one only the water inlet is even with the top of the collection cup.yours appears to be a bit taller

Edit: does it require a second pump to pump to the box? i'm assuming it does and if so how many gph? mrc suggest between 700 and 900 for recirculation right?

You need a pump like a MAG 5 to supply water to the skimmer and the big external pump (BL-55) is the recirculating pump.
Surely they have a good picture/diagram on the website?
