Mushroom moving

I bought a superman mushroom on a frag. Came back the next day and it was gone leaving an empty frag plug. Looked for it and finally found it on a rock that was full of green explosion and Mohawk palys. How did it get there and can I move it to somewhere else?

It can let loose and float or travel in the water column and reattach where it lands.

Mushrooms are extremely finicky with flow. Too much and they move to find a different spot.
