Mushroom relocating?

So we bought this great live rock from an ARC member and have had it in the tank for nearly 3 weeks.

One rock had several brown mushrooms on it, with one that had half hanging off the rock. Had plenty of space, but just hung OFF.

At any rate, today I grabbed a piece of rubble from the fuge and carefully slipped it behind the part hanging off the rock.

It looks like he's moving to the rubble?

Ooops, forgot to email you.........it wouldn't fit in the trunk. And with the kids in the back seat, we had no where to put it.
