Since everyone (including myself) likes pictures I thought I'd share the start of beginning my 155g build. This will be a FO tank with an artificial coral insert from livingcolor.com. Just started the cycle using a couple of shrimp and daily doses of Seachem Stability.

Tank is an Aqueon 155g bowfront
Aqueon ProFlex model 4 wet/dry with Pond Matrix
Octopus NMB200 skimmer
Aqua 40W UV w/wiper
BlueLine 55 return pump
USA-Current TruLumen LED's 2- 36" whites & 2- 36" blues
AWI Typhoon III RODI
75g water holding tank in garage

Still waiting on:
2- VorTech MP40W ES powerheads w/batt backup
2- BRS reactors for carbon and GFO
Apex Lite controller
BRS dosing pump for ATO
heaters (haven't decided on what kind yet - suggestions)

It looks like you are off to a good start. Im not so sure I would have sacrificed shrimp to cycle the tank.... Live rock and time would have did the cycling for you. Which raises a question, are you going to put live rock in it???

I didn't use live shrimp, just a couple of shrimp from the fish market is what I was told to use. I put them in a small bag and put them in the DT. I don't plan on using any live rock and again I'm being told by Mike at MarineDesigns that I can use Pond Matrix to adequately establish my bio filter. I'm using 4 liters which is at least twice the amount needed. I'll probably add a shot of Stability with each of my water changes.

I took delivery of the tank on June 11th. Then it was a matter of waiting for FedEx and UPS to show up from time to time with some of the equipment. I actually put water in the tank last Thursday. Still waiting for media reactors and Vortechs which arrive over the next two days. Then I still need to get an Apex Lite which I'm hoping for a sale to appear on line. Eventually I will have to buy a heater but I just don't know what brand or type to get as there so many differing opinions on them but at least I don't need to get one right away until the weather gets cold so I've got time.

Well my artificial coral finally came in after about a 6 week wait. Set it up and was able to add fish the next day as it had already cycled. I'm still learning how to take decent pics and have not yet mastered a fast enough shutter speed along with enough light to not use a flash which otherwise bounces back off the glass. The only way I could get the piics of the fish was by using a flash but taking it at an angle which limits composition. Hope to provide better pics later.
