So my wife tossed my store bought one for some reason.

Is that a gusset (angle bracket) you put at the intersection of the acrylic and eggcrate?

If so, I like it, it will be rock solid!

How did you attach it? Magnets?

Ya... I built it from egg crate and left over acrylic. Yes there are triangles n the corners.

I have 4 leftover magnets from the old MJ mods that will hold it.

If I had a small router table I could make some really nice ones;)

I need a way to "finish" the edges of the acrylic parts I cut out

Try using a butane fireplace lighter and fire polish them.

Also, a heat gun will work, preferably one with a small nozzle.

I downloaded plans for a nice table top one. Has worked pretty good for me over the years. Not perfect but was easy to build. PM me an e-mail address and I will see if I still have the plans.
