My first coral...

Picked this up from Chris @ Fishscales...this is my first purchase with my new T5's...still waiting on my T5 Club membership card...2 questions

1. Should I completely submerge the rock its on in the sand the way it was @ the store or is the way I have it ok?

2. I have a blue legged crab that seems to be in love with it (he seemsto hang on the side, I have removed him and he came back)...is that ok?

leave it alone.

crab "should" be fine as long as it's not too big and it's only cleaning it.

Hey thanks. Is it possible for a crab to leave its smaller shell to overtake a much larger one? I swear there was nothing in a big shell that i had in the sand...It never moved, I picked up, saw nothing inside, then one day its moving, and i noticed a smaller shell laying in the middle of the tank...can they do that? Or am I just going crazy?

Nice coral. As snails get bigger they start looking for a bigger shell

Just the other day I noticed the tiniest of my remaining crabs inspecting a large empty shell. A few hours later, he was sitting on top of the other shell. A few minutes later, he was in the shell clearing out excess sand! He could barely move the shell around it was so big!

Nice coral and great coloring. Sounds like you'll be ready for a FTS soon.
