Man, great water clarity! Looks like there is NO water in the tank!

I just started my first SW tank in 20 years, so I can appreciate the good looks.

Nice!

Thanks! Daily top-offs with Bentonville's finest and weekly water changes are my friends.

Are you topping off with tap water? That will come back to bite you in the @** later if so.

Otherwise, it's a nice little nano. Are you gonna keep any critters in there?

I saw an Astrea snail in there. You might also want to consider something to stir up the sand. Three or four nassarius snails should do the trick.

What size is the tank? It looks less than 5 gallons, but you might be able to keep a shrimp or a tiny goby. Although if you just kept corals, you probably would have fewer algae problems due to no feeding.

I may give the Nassarius a try. 3 Mexican Red Legs, 1 blue leg, and 2 Astrea right now. I wondered if tiny stars would be okay? I don't see any locally. It's a 3 gallon pico. I figured corals would be better for an office tank, less issues overall.

Try Cerith snails. They will burrow in the sand like the Nassarius, but they are omnivorous. The Nass. are carvivorous.

They are cheaper, too. You could keep a Nass., but you'd have to feed it along with the hermits.

Thanks! Several small snails that either a.) rode in on frags or b.) grew from the live rock/sand are in there as well. Too small to really see without a magnifier, but each appears to have a tiny shell on the back. Maybe they'll grow up and I can get some pics!

Here's a little ricordea I picked up recently.
