My GSM's I see are now laying eggs..quite often, im leary to put a date since I havent been keeping track but it seems its about every 14 days or so...(maybe more, maybe less..I drink alot..lol )

I have posted before and decided the care wasnt for me and anyone wanting them could have them. This is their 5th batch in like 2 months and about the same time ive noticed higher nitrates (15-20 ppm) - could just letting the eggs float away have an impact on this? I change the filter sock weekly if not more but my trates have been steadily in this range for about the same time period.

If this needs to be moved to the breeding SIG please do so

I'd doubt it. eggs and fry get devoured. shouldn't be any different than a cube of BS. I had to make a sulphur denitrator to get mine down

They lay a new batch about every ten days and depending on the tank temperature hatch in only 7 or 8 days a few hours after dark. Depending on what else you have in the tank the fry will be gone by morning. Like jamescook said, it shouldn't impact your nitrates.
