My new cube

I thought i would show off my new tank as of right now. It is an marineland 37 gal cube with custome hood and stand built buy the one and only Jeff McPhail. I cant thank him enough for the time and effort that whent in to my project. The custom canopy houses 2 dual PC dual actinics and 1 175 watt Mh. Now i guess it should be time for the pics.

The MH bulb right now is a 6500K and i think the brand is plusright. It is that because it is what was laying around and i do not have another one right now. As soon as i can i am going to switch to a 20k but not sure what brand.

175w xm's are nice. I had them when i ran them. what ballast do you have.

For 175W you might be better with a 14K. Not sure what brand to get....never strayed away from XM 20K. I did have Iwasaki 15K bulbs but they were nothing like a 15K...they were a 10-12K. Great growth and looked good with VHO actinic.

Well i finally got to start putting things together. Started with the sand and the rock from the existing tank along with some new from Jeff Mcphail( who also came over today to help with everything. Cant thank you enough man.) Now without further delay the pictures.

As of right now it has a cannister filter on it, but coming shortly is a custom HOB overflow built by jeff with a custom sump as well.

The center part of the canopy were the lights are attached can be lifted from the canopy itself for maintnance. Made sure that i would be able to do that ahead of time.
