I recently replaced my 5 year old ASM skimmer with a new curve 5 from Bubble-Magus. The decision was to buy a new $100 pump to keep a skimmer that I never liked from the beginning running or simply buy a new skimmer all together. I chose to buy a new one. All I have to say is that buying this skimmer was like upgrading from a model T Ford to a 2015 Bentley. This curve 5 was very reasonably priced, sits in the sump, makes zero noise, and pulls gunk like its possessed. I'm sure some will say that there are much better skimmers on the market but for $200 I'm will to put this thing up against the best of them.

I was I. The same position as you and also got a curve 5 for my tank at work. I liked it so much I bought another for my home tank. Great skimmers
