My pistol shrimp killed one of my brand new anthias

So I picked up a trio of Bartlett's anthias from Rit today. Brought them home, acclimated them and put them in the tank. Everyone was happy.

Then I decided that the glass needed scraping, so I grabbed the scraper and started going to town. The anthias ducked down just outside the hole where the shrimp and goby live. SNAP!! Now I have a duo instead of a trio.

I really don't like that shrimp...

Edit: Whoohoo! The little gal just came out of the hole, so the shrimp didn't do her in after all!

I still don't like him though.

Hahahahhaaaa, Good story. I have yet to have my pistol kill any fish either, but sometimes I swear there is a nuclear war going on.

Yeah... the snap is a stunning device, so the shrimp likely panicked in self defense and stunned the fish for a few moments.

Thats how they get your cleaner shrimp!
