So here's today's water change of about 35g on my 120g display. I mix the salt in my 45g brute then pump it into a 5g bucket and pour it into the tank. The top corals are out of the water for about 15 mins but the never seem to mind. Is it scientific, complicated, or tech heavy ? No, no it isnt. Does it work? Yup;)

Sounds about like mine. Except I have to carry the water from the laundry room upstairs down to the family room on the main floor. But, it could be worse, I could be carrying the water UP the stairs. LOL

Haha, yea . This is the easiest way for me to do it. I don't even fill the buckets up. Just take my time and don't sweat it. Feel like I make fewer mistakes too.

Thanks man. That's the Valida I keep making frags of. Its an unusually FAST GROWER.

Pretty much the same, I just take the rubbermaid I used and wheel it on a dolly to the tank and then pump the new water straight into the tank.

I feel lucky. I open a valve in my basement and drain the water from my sump, close the valve.......open another valve on my fill line and pump the SW from my mixing station to my sump. 10 minutes and I'm done. Nothing fancy either, it just works.:yay:

Gah... color me jealous... water changes for me entail step ladders and hoses and pumps and trips to buy water.

I think I have found a new summer project. Make water changes stupid easy.

Now I don't feel so bad that I just pour my WC water into the tank. I will have a nicer system when the upgrade happens though.

This part was very important to me. When I was first researching for my setup, I began to realize wc's were one of the more important chores to keep up with. I figured that the easier I made them that is keep up with them.

LQQK at my build. it's simple. after running the water over several times you learn ways to make it easier which inturn makes it faster.
