So my Utter Chaos dropped a frag. Do I let it grow where it is or pick it up and put it on a plug. Will it live? Is that normal?

Normal? Not sure. I’d prolly put it on a plug.
That’s normal. It will live... unless it gets buried or sucked into a pump. Even then, it still may live.
most people would put it on a plug or a rock. Not because it needs it to survive. Rather, because we don’t want all our corals competing with each other. In other words, it’s a personal preference.
