Hey guys,

Today I noticed this mysterious little green clam (with green hairs on it). I have never seen it before. I have a 3 mo old tank with live rock. Can clams be dormant in live rock in some form? What else can I expect to "emerge" later on?

yes i have a rock with like 5 clams on them its not your pretty clams like crocea and maximas but yes they can be on your live rock

Give it time... you'll find more "things" as time goes on.
I'm finding corals that I never put in my tank.

Hey guys,

I got some green mushrooms today. As a bonus, the rock I got had a feather duster on it (tiny white one). Also, I see these little worms coming off of it (what are they...anyone?). I love biodiversity!

I didn't drip acclimate my corals, but they seem to be doing fine.

Any advice on what I should do with these guys to keep them ship-shape? I bought Kent's Coral-Vite as a supplement and Micro-Vert as food.

the reason for dipping corals is to get all the nasty stuff off of them some corals have nast things like nudibranchs, flatworms.and other things that you dont want in your tank be cautious and hope you didnt get any of the bad stuff in your tank

mushrooms should do fine with just light and clean water, no supplements required

What are flatworms and nudibranches? I see little wormlike things on the rock my mushroom corals came on? Are they bad?
