Is it a goni? Hard to tell with the pumps on. Try to take one with them off.

Hmmmmm kinda looks like an encrusting hydnophora.

I will take pics tomorrow with the pumps shut down! funny thing is I only know half the stuff real name in my tank! so for the next few days maybe you can help me name them! :0

Edit: I have posted full pics of my tank, working on close ups now! when I figure out this torch thing I will try new sps or ah lps? what can I say iam a rookie! hehehehee

Sure thing! I'll try to name the ones I can.

The coral posted above: I could probably give you a definite answer on whether it's an encrusting hydnophora or not if the polyps are retracted.

It does look a little like a galaxia, too. I'm still sticking with my gut instinct. The skeletal growth patterns will tell for sure.

Looks like a Turbinaria species to me. My Pagoda Cup looks a lot like that with the polyps extended

I was thinking Turbinaria (Pagoda/Cup).

If it's a flowerpot (Goniopora sp.) it's not a healthy one. Goniopora have long polyps - until they start dying.

It was the bottom ones that made me think it's Turbinaria.

Goniopora have 24 "eyelashes" and they're shorter. (Alveopora have 12).
