I have a 28gallon JBJ cube. I could use a little help with nutrient control, so I would like to get a good skimmer. The tank is running without the stock lid, so it's completely open on top.

Ideally, I would like to get an excellent HOB skimmer. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've been looking at the Tunze Nano 9002, but I'm not sure how/if it would fit into my tank.

I have a aqua c Nano hang on back that worked well for me. $95.

I dont know much about the placement or operation of these nano units. My 120 simply has a marineland (i know, i know) in-sump skimmer. It does a surprisingly good job!

Anyway, it suggested that the aqua c runs best with an overflow prefilter box. I am concerned about how that would mount in my tank, and its appearance overall.

The Tunze 9002 will fit. I had one in a 24 JBJ. Great skimmer if you can find one. LMK if you have any other questions.

My previous setup was a 28 JBJ (http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21552">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21552</a>)

I ran a Euroreef Nano Skimmer for the most part, but the best skimmer I ran on it was an HOB Deltec MCE300. I heard great things about the Tunze 9002 also.

I used a CPR SR3 on my former 29g Nano. Fit and worked well. Have also used the Tunze 9002...it too worked well although IMO, not significantly better than the CPR unit did.
