ok so on my RODI unit...

the IN on the first canister has a fitting that screws into the top housing and has a push fitting for the IN RODI tube.

That fitting has cracked and leaks...

what is the name of the fitting and what size do I need ..

I'll post a pic of what I mean in a sec.

Thanks,
B

The push side is referred to as a John Guest fitting. Both HD and Lowes should have them in the back of the plumbing department.

so its 1/4 to 1/4 though... right?
seems like i got one from HD once and it was just too small on the threaded end

Might not be a bad idea to either bring the canister or the fitting with you to HD. I've discovered that in my old age, I think that I can remember what something should look like but when I get to the store and look at all the fitting.... well you can image the look I get.

Also, at one time I had a old canister that just funky threads to it and I couldn't get standard threading to fit. Had to order it from US Plastics, they have a bunch of specialty stuff but then tend to be a dollar or more expensive on stuff. Also they ship so I don't have to haul the brood to the store and worry about destroying stuff that is not mine.... priceless!

If you strike out at HD, we carry them where I work (closed til Monday) - in Marietta.

There are several different sizes, you need to know your port size for threads, and tube size.
