I have a GIANT toadstool leather that i put in my 210 about 6 months ago because it outgrew my parents 120 in charlotte. Well now it's grown even more and is close to outgrowing my tank. It's around 2ft in diameter right now. Is there a SAFE way to trim it down a little and if so is someone willing to help? I have some pretty nice corals that you can take a frag or 2 for your help. It's my mother's favorite coral so I'm not looking to get rid of it yet and if I do I'll most likely have to take in back to Charlotte and put it in our 400 gallon tank. Let me know your thoughts or email me at mailto:sbmille2@yahoo.com">sbmille2@yahoo.com</a> if you're willing to help out. Please let me know your experience when you email me. Can't risk someone killing this beautiful coral.

I know to frag it you have to get part of the stalk and to do this is somewhat risky so I don't think this is the path I want to take. Thanks

I don't think you have to bother stalk?check out video may help

You don't have to take the stalk, you can trim the edges of the cap if you wish. Each trimming can become a new colony.

sounds good! I have no need for any frags of this so if someone wants to do this and keep all the frags (which could be a good amount!) I'm cool with it! Like I said though, I'd like to find soemone who's done it before. Thanks

We could frag it for you - only thing is, you'd need to bring it into the shop.

We fragged a massive Frogspawn for somebody yesterday.

Thanks, not sure if it's posible for me to bring it anywhere. It too big for 5 gallon bucket and a brute wont fit in my car....

as you wish! this was taken over 2 weeks ago after a water change so its not as impressive if you see it right now. Will try to get another picture.

One of my clients had one that size... their lawnmower blenny used to sit in it, so they called it the, "Leather Recliner"

Thanks, in our 120 our lawnmower did the same. Our clowns also hosted in and spent most of their time lounging around on it with the blenny. My picasso's have hung on it some but prefer my duncan and colt coral.

that was before the tragic accident! now the platinums hang in corner......

I'm in Buckhead. I think there will be plenty of frags for whoever ends up fragging it to give/sell. I'll leave that up to them....
