Im going out of town for work from Friday to Sunday. Wife is also away visiting family. Any advice on the tank in the event that I can't find a tank sitter?

Everything should be fine for 3days, Make sure your ATO has water if ya got one and feed befor ya go...

Exactly...

Or pick up an Eheim auto-feeder and put some dry foods in it.

This ^^^^

I wouldnt even waste time with a feeder unless you have Fish that require multiple feedings per day. Last time I used a feeder I came home to a nasty nasty algae issue.

They will be fine for a few days.

I have an auto feeder that I use regularly. It works fine, but takes some adjustment and I tend to mess it up from time to time. I would not recommend adding one on your way out of town.

Thanks for the input. The only fish I'm concerned about are my anthias. I think I've found someone to come by. Assuming my anthias are healthy would missing two days of feeding hurt that bad (I'd feed Friday before I go).

No they'll be fine, i've gone 5 days with out feeding my anthias, when on a trip just feed'em good before ya leave..

But yes assuming there healthy!!

Fish may go days without finding food in the wild. I think they will be fine. Starting an autofeeder just before leaving town has more danger than not feeding for a few days. I have heard some horror stories in just that situation.

I am glad I did that even though we don't have many outages where I am. I have my heater and a powerhead that are powered in case of PO

I also do not have ATO at the moment so I overfilled my sump, put the glass tops on the tank and didn't run the lights at all to minimize evaporation.

I'm thinking of picking up an ecotech bb. Don't know if any sponsors have them in stock nor if I'd have the time to get it tomorrow. We'll see.

Like I said I do have someone that is supposed to come by but you can't be too safe. I'm also thinking of getting a larger ATO reservoir. .
