So apprently the return tube to my tank came off the pump some how and I had over 15-20 gallons pump all over the floor and inside the stand. Is my stand ruined because it's so wet? I belive it was wet for 30-40min. I tried and soaked up as much water as I could. I've heard that if the wood soaks up water it can someone expand and break.

If its a stick stand.it might be but best thing you can do is get a fan or some kinda blower on it to try to dry it out as quick as you can

"Stick"? It has 6 wooden boards as supports. And thanks.

I don't know if it was stock. It has a tag that says it was manufactured in 2012 by perfecto.

I put a couple fans in the stand. I'm just going to use some powerheads and the heater tonight as I don't want to take a chance of the tube coming off the punp again. Is their anyway to really tell if the stand is ruined? Thanks for your help.

Jacob remember when I was selling that tank and stand and I left it out in the rain? That tank was wood, not particle board, and it swelled pretty bad.

I thought the stand was no good but left it around and later on (weeks) it was totally fine. I painted it added some 2x4 supports but it really didn't need them. But while the wood was swelled the was a definite risk of failure under weight.

You have options... Fan, or, break down the tank for now just to be safe.what size tank is it

I used 3 cans of the black, spray, water sealant on the inside if my stand when I bought it before I set it up. I know this doesn't help you for existing problem, but may help you or someone else in the future.

Thanks. Got the pump fixed so it won't do it again. If I find a can of some I'll spray the inside of the stand because I just took the sump and everything else out of the stand and put some fans in it to dry.

I noticed the bottom of the stand is swelled up pretty bad. Everything else seems find. I just hope the stand is still strong.

Meant that stand was wood*** not that tank.

Just for clarification purposes, i just remember you asking what I meant when I said the stand was shot

Tough call man. I don't know exactly what I would do in your situation, fingers crossed though

Home Depot or lowes

Is it possible to brace the stand? Just thinking out loud. I would probably build a 2x4 frame inside the stand if I thought it was at risk if failure and couldn't break down the tank

I don't know how but I could try. Would I just stick some 2x4 underneath it or would I make a little stand to fit inside of the actual stand.

If your stand is pressboard, you're absolutely going to want to reinforce or tear down.

In this case, an hour or two of prevention is worth 120 gallons of cure.

I just put one in each corner, but again the wood was no longer swelled and the damage was minimal. The only thing I was worried about is the nails that held it together slowly slipping out under pressure from the stand have been swollen

This is just a 29 gallon though. A 120 might need more support.

Do you have somebody to help you? I have to be all over the place tomorrow or I would throw my miter saw in the car and come out. Maybe somebody has a free day tomorrow to come take a look at what you're working with
