Need help with goby shrimp pair

Hey guys, I bought a yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp pair from LFS a few days ago. They paired up in my tank at first but the next morning the goby was swimming at the top of the tank and the pistol shrimp is no where to be seen (assuming he buried himself). Anyways, this has been going on for 3 days and I was wondering if this was normal behavior or if I should try to find the shrimp and re-pair them in a separate tank.

be patient and they will find each other again. Not unusual. I've seen mine disappear for days at a time only to emerge in a different spot.

Thanks! Should I be worried that my goby likes to swim at the top of the tank? I have two clownfish but they don't seem to be aggressive.

Does the goby appear healthy? Swimming upright, not gilling heavily, etc. Is he eating?
If so, I wouldn't worry. Fish sometimes take time to get used to their surroundings.

He seems to be doing fine. Haven't seen him eat. I'll try mysis shrimp tomorrow. Thanks for the input!
